Electronic Health Records Specialists have the flexibility to work in physician offices, insurance companies, nursing homes, wellness centers and clinics, hospitals and of course smaller medical practices. Responsibilities could include handling sensitive patient data, document management, IT security, medical insurance billing and coding and reimbursement, hospital health records associates, and many others.
This program will teach the basic understanding of:

-HIPAA and HITECH, CMS and other healthcare regulations and federal law
-Electronic health records management and applications
-Basic medical coding
-Payment claims, resubmission process with EHR
